Ayurvedic Aspect

In ayurveda we can understand I.T.P. as “DHATWAGINI VISHAMTA” i.e. the metabolic fires in the body of the patient become unbalanced(Vishamit) and the ‘PIIT’ of our body which develops problems is known as “Ranjak Piit” which is in liver and spleen.

When we treat such patients through ayurvedic medicines we get miraculous results as:

  • We work on “DHATWAGINI VISHAMTA” of the patient
  • We work on “Ranjak Piit” (which is in liver and spleen)
  • We work on blocked micro channels of vitiated dhatus(otherwise known as sarotasm)

To understand the above concept in detail we need to know how hour body works (as per ayurveda)

As far as ayurveda is concerned, it believes in the doctorine of Dhatus. The dhatus are seven in number:
  • Rasa Dhatu( Lymph)
  • Rakat Dhatu (Blood)
  • Masam dhatu (Skin and Muscles)
  • Meda Dhatu (Body fat)
  • Aasti Dhatu (Bone)
  • Majja Dhatu ( Bone Marrow)
  • Shukra Dhatu

It is believed that daily when we take meals the nourishment gradually travels from one dhatu to the other proceeding dhatu and all the dhatus are hence nourished.

One dhatu is connected to the next dhatu by micro channels known as srotasam

The inability of the body to maintain homeostasis is a primary indication of poor health as the organism is not able to adapt to internal or external stimuli. This inability to respond indicates poor health from the lack of functional reaction to internal and external stimulus. The result of this reduced response is either an inappropriate immune response (auto-immune) or little to no immune response (inadequate or suppressed immune response or wrong immune response).

The resulting vision of Ayurvedic pathology offers the possibility to develop individualized treatment modules according to causal factors. The causal factor will be one of the three dosha that is prevented from correct functional communication due to lifestyle habits, diet, secondary effects of medication, environmental chemicals, or psychosomatic reasons that have not been addressed in this discussion. The possible causes for the disruption of dosha function are unlimited. If identified the causes should be removed, and homeostasis should be re-established. Through identification of causal factors that inhibit immune response treatments that re-establish homeostasis would also allow the innate power (Baala) of immunity to manifest on a general level.
