Ayurveda For Happy Stomach

Food is essential for our survival. Whatever we eat is what we derive energy from and this energy is used for the performance of life supporting activities in our body that include movement, speech, thinking, seeing, hearing  etc. Every single action and reaction performed at any level, will consume some amount of energy that has been derived from the food we eat. Our body extracts this energy out of the food right from the stomach where the digestion of the food we eat, takes place to convert the food into a form that goes down the digestive system,ands the absorption of the nutrients takes place in the intestines. But if the digestion activity is impaired and the food is not digested properly, the form in which the food reaches intestines,; our body fails to receive the nutrients from the food.Therefore, it is very pivotal to keep the stomach in a happy state. In other terms the stomach should be able to perform its necessary functions very effectively.

The type of food we eat today and the lifestyle we live have impaired the ability of our stomach. People complaining with stomach disorders are very common these days. Indigestion, Hyper Acidity, Loss of Appetite, Constipation, Diarrhea, IBS etc. are a few of very common stomach related ailments that we come across to witness these days. With the increasing medical drugs and pharmaceutical products, market has been flooded with various over-the-counter drugs that are easily available at various chemists’ stores. But we need to avoid our dependency on chemical drugs when Nature has better solutions that are 100 percent safe and do not have  any side- effects.

In today’s Blog, we are going to talk about some of the common Stomach disorders and we shall discuss some of the important herbs form nature that can be used to treat these disorders. These suggested natural remedies are time -tested and are the resultants of the knowledge imparted by the sages and saints after keen understanding of ancient medicine and herb-ology.

Indigestion: it is the most common word we hear when it comes to stomach problem. Once imbalanced, people cry out that they are suffering from indigestion. Hyper acidity or constipation or sometimes diarrhea could be associated with indigestion.
